Spring is back in Shanghai, 25 degrees in the shade today, so let’s hope the weather will stay this way now, we’ve had enough rain the last month for sure.
This past week and weekend has been a busy one, lot’s of university stuff to sort out and then I ended up going out Friday night, and Saturday afternoon we had a BBQ party for Felicia who turned 100 days, and yesterday, Sunday Pelles son Mattias turned so went there for some cookies and wine topped off with some Shanghainese food, A full week for sure, and today it starts all over again, when does it end?
To be honest I prefer it like this, busy, busy, keeps me from getting bored and of course allows for me to continue complaining about being too busy, which is a god-given right if you’re born Swedish, complaining that is.
Today as I was writing an essay, Al Gore’s “An inconvenient truth” was showing on HBO, I know what you’re thinking, but having the TV on in the background, helps me concentrate, anyway, seeing that film again brought back up what was in the news everyday along with the war on terror, before the global financial crises, I’m of course referring to the environment issue, you know, us slowly killing the only inhabitable place for us in, well the only inhabitable place in this galaxy anyway. Well, my question is; did we solve the whole carbon dioxide issue, the whole global warming, our children will not have a place to live 100 of millions of refugees thing or what, because since the economy went down the crapper nobody seems to care what will happen to our planet once we start making money again,,,ah maybe I’m being overdramatic just searching for faults with the world because I’m getting a tad pissy when I’m stressed, or maybe the environment is still an important question we shouldn’t be allowed to forget just because the world economy is crappy right now,,,it’s called the world/ global economy for a reason, it needs a world, to exist….
